Images in the Perpetual Motion Series have been created from photographs of reflections in water taken from a moving boat on Lake Powell. The color relates to the angle of light and the proximity to landforms, the speed of the boat and its wake, and reflections of the boat itself. Elements from the original images have been selected and repeated to suggest motion that never stops. In most photographs, one expects to find a place where the eye comes to rest--a focal point. However, this series seeks to carry the viewer through the image and outward and onward, suggesting that the motion continues beyond the viewing experience. (Series in progress.)
