The Mesa Glow and Mesa Montage images were created from slides taken in Marble Canyon, AZ. However, the original scene has been changed considerably through the montage process, so that something quite different is contained in the final image. The idea of this series is to get as close as possible to that wonderful glow that sometimes permeates western landscapes, spilling from the clouds onto the landscape. Some of the resulting images almost give the viewer a bird's eye view.
