From Landscapes

These images were each created by superimposing a landscape or aspects of it upon itself--so all images have been created from landscapes. The first one, Dawns of Time, holds the place of honor, because it is the first thing of this kind that I developed. It symbolizes the slow changes over the eons as earth-time evolved. Perhaps the most fascinating are the two red pieces with figures. The original landscape is of background hills across the Death Valley landscape. The vegetation and topography yielded figures which might symbolically be the ghosts of those who lived, worked, or wandered in Death Valley and left a bit of their spirit there. Palouse Rhythms was composed of 8 slides and suggests the days and seasons of the farmlands.
